Verna Marie Buck Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Verna Marie Buck of La Plata, Missouri, born in Mendon, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 30, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert E. Pippin and Eva M. Pippin (Billups); her husband Bobby Buck; her daughter Patricia Lynn Kirkpatrick; her siblings, Stella Tuggle, Peggy Thomas, Judy Brown, Cora Voyles, Jimmy and Virgil Pippin; and her children-in-law, Leonard Hamlin and Joyce Buck.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Buck of La Plata, Eddie Buck (Sharon) of Kirksville, W. R. "Dub" Buck (Barbara) of Kirksville, Missouri and Bobbi Lou Hamlin of Kirksville, Missouri; her brothers, Glen Pippin (Sherry) of La Plata, Missouri and Loren Pippin (Patsy) of La Plata, Missouri; and her grandchildren, Lynnette, Jimmy Kirkpatrick, Emily Hettinger (Josh), Adrienne Black (Eli), Holly Funk, Carmen Hopkins (Mike), Paul Aaron Wiseman (Natalie), Wesley Robert Buck (Alisha), Bradley Cain Buck (Katie), Dakota McKenzie, Nancy McKenzie-Adams and Eva "Bucky" Buck. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorials in memory of Verna may be made to First Baptist Church of La Plata or to Adair County Humane Shelter.
