He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Olin and Lillian G. Burton (Coleman); his siblings, Cleo, Kenneth, Robert Burton and Faye Hughes; and his great-nephews, Chad and Dane Martin.
He is survived by: his sister-in-law Dorothy Burton of Macon. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Thomas Wayne Burton may be made to Hopewell Cemetery, La Plata American Legion, or La Plata Christian Church.
