He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Carmon and Elizabeth Mattingly Carter; and his sisters, Francis Lowe and Mary Cassady. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Darlene Kautz of Sue City; his children, Angus, Cathy Baker (late Robert W. Baker) of Atlanta, Mike Carter (Mary) of La Plata and Daryl Carter (Wendy) of La Plata; his grandchildren, Sharon Pennington (Duane), Daron Baker (Brandy), Aaron Baker (Erica), Jason Carter, Evan Carter, Jesse Carter, Megan and Daniel Ellyson; his great grandchildren, Christina, Ashlea, Aislynn, Owen, Paislea, Bella, Brody, Brynlee, Bright and Quentin; and his sister Marjorie Weber of Kirksville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Community Mausoleum of La Plata.
