She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Breshears and Lizzie Mae Breshears (Cobb); her son Thomas J. Nelson; her granddaughter Amanda Hensley; her brothers, Bobby Breshears and Edwin Breshears; and her daughter-in-law Karen Nelson.
She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey Nelson (Jaynie) of St. Louis, Donald Nelson of Sedalia, Daniel Nelson of La Monte and Jackie Wessel (David) of La Monte; her grandchildren, Nathan Nelson, Jack Hensley, Katie Hensley, Lucas Wessel, Shelby Wessel and Lindsey Riley (Patrick); and her great grandchildren, Jaron, Taylen, Abigail, Katelyn, Jordan, Austin, Seth, Tucker, Jocelynn, Coralea, Charleigh and Cooper.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Sylvia G. Thompson Activities Fund or Crossroads Hospice in care of Heckart Funeral Home.
