He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Ott and Betty Rankin Ott; and his siblings, Jane White, Ellen Tate, Kenny, Larry, Willie, Gary and Melvin Ott.
He is survived by: his daughter Julianne Messer (Ethan) of Monroe City; his grandchildren, Joseph and Aleah Messer; and his siblings, Joyce, Donna Kunkel of La Grange, Wanda Harmon of Revere, Elmer Ott of Canton and Carl Ott of Keokuk. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
