He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Baxter Simmons (Pete); his children, Maranda Ward (Robert) of Edina and Kane Douglas Simmons of Columbia; his grandchildren, Wesley Dean, Elijah Walker and Mattie Nicole Ward; his brothers, Art Simmons (Roena), Jon Simmons (Betty), Bill Simmons and Carl Simmons (Nicole); his sisters-in-law, Betty Huebotter, Sharon Leslie (Sam), Karen Lasswell, Jo Baxter and Rita Bozarth (Bill); and his close friends, Todd and Lori Goodwin.
