Verdie was predeceased by: parents, Joe Allen and Edna Allen (Huffman); siblings, Jimmie Dale Allen and Beulah Green; and uncles, Robert Allen and Glen Dale Allen.
Verdie is survived by: wife Mary; daughter Tina Werneke; husband Roger; children, JoEllen Elwell (Steve), Steve (Sandra), Stevie Elwell, Travis Elwell, Lance Elwell (Shane), Josh, Lane, Ivy, Morgan, Mary Jo Judd (Kyle), Kylie and Garrett; and siblings, Patricia Hontz (Eddie) of La Monte, Mary Howe (Kenneth) of Sedalia, Minnie Clifton (Isaac) of Ohio, John Allen of Knob Noster, Donald Allen (Mona) of Sedalia and Larry Lee Allen (Dorothy) of Grandview. Verdie is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
