It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Velma Bertschy of Knob Noster, Missouri, who passed away on November 18, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Matthew and Mary Kerfont (Simon); her son John Matthew Bertschy; and her siblings, Gilbert, Jerry, Maurice, Hubert, Regina and Barbara.
She is survived by: her husband John Bertschy of Knob Noster; her sons, Mark Bertschy and Paul Bertschy; her grandchildren, Layne Bertschy, Paige Mercer (Chaz), Johnathan Bertschy, Joseph Bertschy, Sherry Bertschy, Jill Bertschy and Jamie Bertschy; and her siblings, Lawrence Kerfont (Elmer Kerfont), Priscilla Kerfont of Greenville, SC, Viola Downie (Joan Keener) and Linda Wiegert (Betty Saade).
Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Joseph's Indian School in Chamberlain, SD and can be left in care of the funeral home.
