He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thomas and Della Ann Smith (Wall); his spouse Loretia V. "Rita" (Hunt); his grandson Donald; and his siblings, Nellie Forth and Vernie Smith.
He is survived by: his sons, Warren V. Smith (Linda D.) of Knob Noster and Gary D. Smith of Grain Valley; his grandchildren, Wendy, Kelly, Christine and Sherry; and his stepgrandchildren, Marc and Michiele. He is also survived by five step-great grandchildren and three step-great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to NorthCare Hospice House, in care of the funeral home.
