He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Lear and Glennis Lear (Everts); his stepparents, T. D. Hull and Agnes Lear; and his sister Sharon Swopes.
He is survived by: his wife Kathryn; his children, Anthony Lear, Eddie Nelson (April), Lindsay Dooley, Justin Truelove (Crystal) and Dan Dooley (Kelly); his grandchildren, Derrick Nelson, Stacia Nelson, Briana Dooley and Mackenzie Dooley; his brother-in-law Charlie Swopes; and his nephews, Guy Swopes and Lee Daniel Swopes (Jessica). He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society and can be left in care of the funeral home.
