He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hamilton Bryan and Anne Elizabeth Bryan (MacDougall); and his brother James Lamar Bryan. He is survived by: his wife Kim Bell of Kirkwood; his children, Michael Bryan (Heidi) of Marietta, Georgia, Katie Bryan of Warson Woods, Missouri, Maureen Bierbach (Kevin) of Littleton, Colorado and Annie Bryan of Boston, Massachusetts; his grandchildren, Colin, Molly and Sean Bryan; his children, Brody, Wesley and Charlie Bierbach; his siblings, Chuck Bryan (Saundra) of Greenville, Doris Devereux (Dan) of Town and Deborah Adams of Charleston; his sister-in-law Mandy Bryan of Palmyra, Virginia; and his former wife Martha. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
