She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin J. Weinkein and Grace Weinkein; her sister Nancy Weinkein; and her grandparents, Rudolph, Flora Huber, Albert and Justine Weinkein.

She is survived by: her siblings, Faye Ponder (Glennon), Wayne Weinkein (Sharon), Donald Weinkein (Margie), Cindy King (Rick) and Jerry Weinkein.

“I knew both Sandy and her sister Grace when they were Daughters Of Charity and I was also a very young Daughter Of Charity then. Lost touch with Sandy a long time ago but every now and again I would think about her smile and her enthusiasm. I’m sorry to hear of her death, I am sure Sandy did a huge amount of good in her life.
