He was predeceased by: his parents, Aaron Orchard and Helen Orchard; his wife Carol I. Orchard; his sister Loisel O. Martin; and his siblings-in-law, Loraine Trainum, Beverly Haenni, Lyle Martin, Burton Haenni, Samuel Trainum, Gerard Haenni, Eugene Haenni and Sterling Hayden.
He is survived by: his sisters-in-law, Patricia Greenblatt, Patricia Haenni and Mary Ann Hayden; his children, Susan C. Freeman (Chris) of Kirkwood, MO, Teresa O. Thies (John) of Urbana, IL and Michael A. Orchard (Julie) of St. Louis, MO; his grandchildren, Nate Freeman (Katie), Sarah Garner (Elliot), Abigail Freeman, Michelah Grimaud (Michael), Alex Orchard (Shelby), Kathryn Thies and Caroline Thies; and his great grandchildren, James, Charlotte Garner, Blake Orchard, Lenihan and Palmer Grimaud. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
