She was predeceased by: her parents, George Abatgis and Mary Abatgis (late Nelson L. Hower); and her siblings, Spiro Abatgis (Harriet) and Trifon Abatgis. She is survived by: her children, Nelson Hower II and Karen Shwedo; her great grandchildren, Alex, Tevy Magnuson and Samuel Rivard; her sister Bess Pappas (late George); and her sister-in-law Laura Abatgis.
