It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stephen William Archibald of Kirksville, Missouri, born in San Francisco, California, who passed away on January 1, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Donald Arthur Archibald; his son Cody Stephen Archibald; and his sister-in-law Lori Schmitter. He is survived by: his mother Carol Jean Major (Ken) of Petaluma; his children, Travis William Archibald (Amanda) and Sarah Whitney Archibald (Wilson); his wife Brenda Jean Schmitter; his stepmother Irene Archibald of Sparks; his siblings, Lori Trumble (Dennis) of Petaluma, Jeffrey Archibald (Kathy) of Santa Rosa and John Laidley (Pam) of Novato; his in-laws, Curtis and Carolyn Schmitter of Downing; and his brother-in-law Bruce Schmitter (Chris) of St. Joseph. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and many friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Downing Christian Church (430 E Prime St, Downing, MO 63536). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
