She was predeceased by: her parents, Dwight Lee and Lorraine Lee (Nolte). She is survived by: her fiancé Pete Schultz of Kirksville, Missouri; her sons, Jesse and Ryan Crooks of Kirksville, Missouri; and her siblings, Darrell Connell of St. Joseph, Gary Lee (Debbie) of Kirksville, Mike Lee of La Plata, Missouri, Teresa Lee (Jerry Reese) of Dallas, Brenda Lee of Kirksville and Donna Ford (Michael) of Lee's Summit, Missouri. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorials in memory of Shirley may be made to the Shirley Lee Memorial Fund.
