He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow William and Arlene Marie "Phyllis" Ashmore (Crockett); his nephew James Bice; and his brother-in-law Bill Helmick. He is survived by: his former wife Theresa Murphy; his wife Carol Jean Davis; his daughters, Rebecca "Becky" Cunningham (Tom) of Ft. Worth, TX and Stefanie Novinger of Columbia, MO; his stepson Josh Davis of Macon, MO; his sisters, Jeanette Helmick of Harrisonburg, VA, Kathleen (Joe Limbaugh), Pamela (Steven Hamilton) and Lisa (Rodger Hall); and his grandchildren, Shelby Novinger, Sadie Snelling, Austin Snelling, Shayne Meeker, Kathryn "Kate" Cunningham (Andrew Murgia) and Sean Cunningham.
