She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Lyberger and Susie Lyberger (Smith); and her sisters, Vernice Davis, Jewel Brown and Ruth Rarig.
She is survived by: her spouse Robert "Bobby" Smothers; her daughter Evelyn Barnes (Jack Wood) of Kirksville; her granddaughters, Carol Lynn McCarthey (Dave) of Springfield and Dorothy Durant of Appleton, Wisconsin; her great grandchild John; and her sister Mary McCarthey of Springfield. She is also survived by ten great, great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Mary Smothers may be made to the Twin Pines Christmas Fund.
