With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lona Jeanette (Hopper) Matheney of Kirksville, Missouri, who passed away on January 16, 2025 at the age of 78. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lona Jeanette (Hopper) Matheney to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Allen Lee and Margaret Lea Hopper (Crabtree); and her brothers, Allen and David Hopper. She is survived by: her husband Bobby Matheney; her son Robert "Rob"; her daughter-in-law Lori Matheney of Columbia, MO; her daughter Angela Stoker of Columbia, MO; her sister Evelyn Brewer of Kirksville, MO; her grandchildren, Secley Kennedy, Andrew Matheney, Madison Matheney, MacKenzi Matheney, Haylea Stoker and Garrick Stoker; and her great grandchildren, Brayden Matheney, Brinley Matheney and Adley Matheney. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at the Travis-Noe Funeral Home (1008 W Potter Ave, Kirksville, MO 63501). A burial will be held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at the Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery (1479 County Rd 1675, Jacksonville, MO 65260).
