She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Nelson and Roseva Nelson (Brookbank); her stepson Grant Blacksmith; her brothers-in-law, Jeff Whittom and Bobby Beaty; and her close friend Marilyn Powell.
She is survived by: her husband Michael Blacksmith; her children, Eric Sullivan (Jo) of Hurricane, Utah and Heather Parks (Clint) of Greentop, MO; her stepdaughter Stephanie Mitchell (Joe) of Key West, FL; her siblings, Larry Nelson (JoAnne), Terry Nelson (Sara) of Perry, MO, Linda Hussein (Sattar), Ann Gilsdorf (Michael) of Gladstone, MO and Lila Beaty of Kirksville, MO; her grandchildren, Kaelyn Lang (Colten), Adyson Sullivan (Nathan), Reese Sullivan, Jackson Montgomery and Jersey Sullivan; her stepgrandchildren, CJ Parks and Jack Mitchell; and her great grandchild Paislee Long. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Travis-Noe Funeral Home (1008 W Potter Ave, Kirksville, MO 63501). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to her husband, Michael Blacksmith and may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
