He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald "Shag" Elijah and Sarah Rose Grossnickle (Maize). He is survived by: his wife Mary (Welch); his children, John Andrew Grossnickle and Katharine Marie Grossnickle; his grandsons, Christopher Warren and Anthony Warren; and his siblings, Gary "Skip" Grossnickle (Daisy) and Rebecca Riley (Rudy). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
