She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Lea Bray and Etha Mae Statler; her husband John Lester Canny; her siblings, Dorothy Chiles and Donald Bray; and her daughter Janice Canny.
She is survived by: her sister Hazel Gomez of Sunnyvale, CA; her daughters, Diana Swanson (Bob) of Ottumwa, IA and Denise Bahr (Thom) of Kirksville, MO; and her grandchildren, Caroline, Michael, Matthew, Sarah and Jordan. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
