He was predeceased by: his parents, Garrett William and Minnie Edna Hill (Havens); his daughter Sherry Sorensen; his grandson Daniel Sorensen; and his brother LaVerne Hill.

He is survived by: his wife Elaine Bowling; his children, Gary Hill, Teresa "Terri" Banki and Jana Nylund; his sister Verta Small; his grandchildren, Lynn Childress, William Sorensen, Garrett Vaul, Ashley Vaul, Rebekah Hill and Morgan Hill; and his great grandchildren, Cole Childress, Hazel Childress, Maddison Sorensen, Kaylynn Sorensen, Mya Sorensen and Hailey Sorensen.
