He was predeceased by: his parents, George Higgins and Catherine Higgins (Ludden); his sisters, Mary Hatfield, Anabel Stober and Margaret Snell; his siblings-in-law, Shirley Mayer, Alice Bruegenhemke, Barbara Kiley, Doris Higgins, Jim Stober, Donald Bruegenhemke and Dick Kiley; and his son-in-law Andy Grgurich.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Bruegenhemke; his children, David Higgins (Geri) of Kirksville, Sherry Cass (Gary) of Brookshire, Larry Higgins (Tammy) of Brashear, Michael Higgins of Greentop and Tammy Grgurich of Novinger, Missouri.; and his brothers, Harry Higgins and John Higgins. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
