It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorthy Ruth (Brewer) Smith of Kirksville, Missouri, who passed away on January 26, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Orlando Brewer and Beulah Blanch Brewer (Rummerfield); her husband David H. Smith; and her siblings, Florence Lela Brewer, Hilda Beeman, Edith Christman, Wesley Brewer, Hershel Brewer and Orin Stanley Brewer.
She is survived by: her son Roger; her daughter-in-law Twila Smith of Kirksville, MO; her daughter Janet; her son-in-law Jeffrey Cannaday of Joshua, TX; and her grandchildren, Reagan and Taylor Smith. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
