He was predeceased by: his mother Kay Hays (Ray); and his grandparents, Hallie, Ruth Ray of Green Castle, Frank and Elizabeth Hays of Adair County.
He is survived by: his father Clifford Hays of Grain Valley, MO; his wife Tanna; his stepchildren, Samantha Reames Brown (Darren) of Creighton, MO and Quincy Reames of Kirksville; and his siblings, Greg Hays (Terri) of Lone Jack, MO, Scott Hays (Cindy) of Grain Valley, MO, Doug Hays (Dixie) of Blue Springs, MO and Carla Kloeppel (Jeff) of Blue Springs, MO. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials in memory of Curtis are suggested to the Adair County Humane Society.
