She was predeceased by: her parents, Carter Patton and Mary Karaff Patton (Karaff); her sister Margery Leavitt (Patton); and her brothers-in-law, Donald Bennett and Bob Leavitt.

She is survived by: her husband Ronald K. Ruddell; her children, Deborah Ruddell, Ronald Joseph (Debra), Karla Kay Berra (John) and Patrick Carter (Alicia); her grandchildren, Christopher Berra, Andy Berra (Katie), Jordan Berra, Jake Berra, Quinn Ruddell (April), Chase Ruddell, Devin, Celina and Landin Ruddell; her great grandchildren, Adriana, Camila Berra, Morgan, Nora, Carter Berra, Blake and Shay Ruddell; her sisters, Mary Maye Bennett and JoEllen Hays (Eldon) of Kirksville; and her aunt Betty Karaff. She is also survived by Her extended family includes nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins.
