He was predeceased by: his parents, Ora Dickey and Venitha Dickey (Chrisitan); his brothers, Leon and Lonnie; his children, Tammy Bean and Richard Stanfield; and his grandchildren, Steven and Marshal.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Dickey of Kirbyville; his children, Virgil Ray Dickey, Jr. of Florida, Nathan Duck of East Texas, Dualyn Hill of Kirbyville, Dalton Duck-Hill of Forsyth, Jessica Duck of Springfield, Ashley Hudson of Kirbyville and Dennie Ann Stanfield of Kirbyville; and his siblings, Delbert Dickey (Vicky) of Kirbyville, Marcella Fowler of Forsyth, Myrtle Booth of Hollister and Daisy Ingram (Willie Barnes) of Kirbyville. He is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
