He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur H. Prothero and Nora C. Prothero (Haney); and his siblings, Jim Prothero, Roberta Straker, Mary Straker and Lois Wise.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Kipp; his children, Rick Prothero (Jill) and Chris Bratcher (Ronny); and his siblings, John Prothero (Rosie), Neva Feigly (Bob) and Stanley Prothero (Linda) of Amarillo, TX.. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
