He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Horstmeier and Ellen Horstmeier (Jungermann); and his brother-in-law Vernon Berlekamp. He is survived by: his caregiver Mary Garrison; his children, Darren Horstmeier (Stephanie) and Dawn Horstmeier Green (Fred) of Fulton; his grandchildren, Dalton Horstmeier (Abby) of Moberly and Baileigh Horstmeier of Fulton; his great grandchildren, Brennis Horstmeier and Morgan Horstmeier; and his sisters, Donna Berlekamp of St. Charles, Linda Horstmeier, Michelle Goins (Miles) and Ryan Brauner (Gage Garrison).
