He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry Robert Mercer Sr. and Linda Darlene Kiolbassa; and his granddaughter Kathrine Taylor. He is survived by: his wife Becky Walters; his children, Derek (Kari Taylor), Kaitlyn Mercer, Deven (Kyrstian Taylor) and Kobey (Jocelyn Taylor); his siblings, Jerry Robert Mercer Jr. and Cynthia Dianne Ivy; his stepfather Bobby Kiolbassa; and his grandchildren, Solomon, Kane, Lexi of Tori, R. J., Addi, Weslynn, Kingslee and Beckett. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Memorial may be made to Mike Mercer Memorial Fund to be designated later in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O Box 153, King City, MO 64463.
