He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bernard and Hazel Owens (Manion); and his son Jeff. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis; his children, John Bryan (Marisol) of Gainesville, GA, Jody (Jennifer) of King City and Jill of Kansas City; his grandchildren, Madison Burks (Nick), John Braden and Meghan Owens; his sisters, Tuleta MacDonald and Patsy Stockton; and his parents-in-law, Carole, David Meade of Savannah, Larry and Audrey Payne of St. Joseph. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
