He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Freeman and Dosha Freeman (Cox); his wife Marjorie B. Darnell; and his siblings, Frances Simmons and Bill Freeman.
He is survived by: his children, Kent Freeman, Whitney Freeman (Melisa) of Kansas City, MO and Michelle Richardson of Oceanside, CA; his grandchildren, Tristan Richardson, Lauren Richardson and Bruin Freeman; his sister Edna Merle Crouch; and his brother-in-law Gene Simmons of Cameron, MO. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
