He was predeceased by: his parents, James Johnson and Ann Johnson; and his siblings, Peggy Bordelon, Martha Courville, Michael and Marvin Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Johnson; his children, Debra McCrary (Wade), Jacqueline Bordelon (Alice), Tina Atwell (Jason) and Earl Johnson (Stephanie); his siblings, Kenneth, Charles, Noland, Robert Johnson and Linda Morgan; his grandchildren, Marie, Veronica, Jason and Benjamin; and his great grandchildren, Aidan, Connor, Mia, Henry, Jillian and Gabriella. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
