He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin W. Thomas Jr. and Charlotte I. Thomas; and his grandparents, Elizabeth Hibdon Thomas, Alvin W. Thomas Sr. and Tivis D. Sutherland.
He is survived by: his wife Christie Steed Thomas; his daughters, Jessica Robin Young, Nikki Robin Taylor, Kiernon Thomas, Kanani Thomas, Gabrielle Pierce and Madeline Pierce; his granddaughter Kira Stinnet; his siblings, Sheree Thomas and Anthony Thomas; and his grandmother Thelma Leach Sutherland. He is also survived by aunts, nieces, nephew, and cousins.
