He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Goldsbury and Verna Goldsbury (Hatcher); and his siblings, James Earl Goldsbury, Betty Ann Baker and Donna Mae Reavis.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Goldsbury (Breid); his children, Sherrie Blair (Keith), Bobbie Elliott (Mark), Kathy Swindell (Robert) and John Goldsbury (Kim); and his grandchildren, Jennifer, John (Dena), Klint, Jami, Martha, Riley, Savannah, Jake (Dehlia), Emily and Amy. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, many extended family, nieces and nephews.
