He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Horinek and Florence Horinek (Kantor). He is survived by: his wife Mary Russell; his children, Jason Horinek (Natalie) of Kidder, MO, Cory Horinek of Topeka, KS, ReChelle Horinek (Dusty Spresser) of Selden, KS and Nathan Horinek of Goodland, KS; his stepchildren, John Morris (Peggy) of Riverview, FL and Kristine Morris (Maryann) of New Berlin, NY; his grandchildren, Hayden (Kelsey), Ryley (Caroline), Wyatt, Lane, Samantha, Dominic, Cole, Ashley (Jesse), Chase (Gabi), Jared and Aubriella; and his siblings, Nancy Horning (Stan) of Gaylord, KS, Robbie Kraus (Bob) of Wray, CO, Shelly Brock (Bob) of Monument, KS and Tony Horinek (Anita) of Levant, KS. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Cameron Veteran's Home in care of the funeral home.
