She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmett Mason and Ollie Marie Mason (McElfresh); her spouse O. V. Louis Kappelman; her son Gary Lee Mason; her brother Cleon "Bill" Mason (Wanda Mason); and her granddaughter April M. Franks.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sandra Whisenant (Darrell) of Bull Shoals and Sheila Franks of Kennett, Missouri.; her grandchildren, Jerry "Bo" Franks (Amy), Gary Lee Mason, Jr., Ashley Moosman (Nathan) and Jenny Mason; her great grandchild Eli Moosman; and her daughter-in-law Judy Rivera of Kansas City. She is also survived by Several nieces and nephews.
