He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva Lee and Mary Gertrude Hughes (Sutton); and his siblings, Frank, Bob, Homer, Dennis, Jim and Betty Fort.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Carol Wilson; his children, Jackie Lynn Hughes (Kim) of Kennett and Jennifer Leigh Hicks (Joe) of Kennett, Missouri.; his brother Alva "Dude" Hughes of Holcomb, Missouri.; his grandchildren, Jared Lynn Hughes, Jeremy Blake Hughes (Brook), Hunter Crittendon and Kortney Hicks; and his great grandchildren, Hudson Blake Hughes, Gracie Belle Hughes, Layton Grace Hughes, Lincoln Grey Hughes and Sophie Jane Hughes. He is also survived by Many Nieces and Nephews.
