He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lyman Nations and Maggie Gertrude Walls; his wife Frances Mae Simmons; and his sisters, Edith Nations Dees Cromeens and Irene Nations Eskra.
He is survived by: his sister-in-law Wanda; and his children, Ricky Nations of Hardy, Sherree Nations of Beattyville, Marcus Nations of Beattyville, Rita Ornelas of Booneville, Charles Nations of Knoxville, Jennifer Ashley of Hopkinsville and Patricia Wells Wallace. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and a large growing host of great-grandchildren.
