She was predeceased by: her parents, James Edgar and Verna T. Hoover Self; her husband Melvin Arley Shepard; and her brothers, Vernon, Bradley and George Self.
She is survived by: her children, James Edward Shepard (Becky) and Jane Shepard Byrd (Larry); her grandsons, Matt Shepard (Toni), Thad Shepard (Kerry), Jared Byrd and Will Shepard (Laurie); and her great grandchildren, Brock, Cooper, Wade, Kirby Shepard, Savannah, Caroline, Taylor Shepard, Ryan and Camryn Byrd. She is also survived by her family and friends.
