She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Dero Thomas and Mary Ruth Thomas; her husband Bob; her daughters, Debbie Strock (Shelton) of Cordova and Donna Russell (Shelton) of Atlanta, Georgia; her son-in-law Michael; her stepchildren, Jeff Hancock of Paris, Mark Hancock of Mount Pleasant, Texas and Lisa Hignight (Hancock) of Paris, Texas; her sister Linda; her brother-in-law Leonard Merrell of Hockley, Texas; her nephews, Brian Merrell of Bryan and Mark Merrell of Katy, Texas; and also, Christa and Allison Merrell. She was also cherished by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be planned for summer of this year, due to concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Kennett Humane Department.
