She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Sawyer and Pearl Gray; and her son Michael Beard. She is survived by: her husband Elmer Beard; and her sons, Roger Beard, Steven Beard and Kenneth Beard. She is also survived by her family, including 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Kearney (925 State Rte 92, Kearney, MO 64060). A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Pleasant View Cemetery (18564 KS-31, Garnett, KS 66032).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Kansas City Children's Mercy Hospital, honoring Erma's generous spirit and lifelong commitment to helping others.
