She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Sawyer and Pearl Gray; and her son Michael Beard. She is survived by: her husband Elmer Beard; and her sons, Roger Beard, Steven Beard and Kenneth Beard. She is also survived by her family, including 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Kansas City Children's Mercy Hospital, honoring Erma's generous spirit and lifelong commitment to helping others.
