She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Sr. Burns and Shirley Burns; her son JoeJuan Lawrence; and her uncle Rev. Robert Burns Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Claudia Young-El of Toledo, Jack Christensen and Christopher Peppars; her grandchildren, Trey Clark (JoJuana Lawrence) and Jabbar Lawrence; her siblings, Floyd Shell, Charles Burns, Stephanie Hughes, Sandra Gates and Autherine Henderson; and her cousins, Nell of Kansas City and Mae Frances of Kansas City. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
