He is survived by: his wife Gwendolyn Whitehead of Birmingham, Alabama.; his children, Deidra Swoope-Deadmon (Cedric), William Swoope Jr. (Stardust) and Eric Swoope (Kandi); his sisters, Ida (Swoope), Madlock (late Dale), Ethel (Swoope), Brown (Thomas) and Victoria Hall (Swoope); and his grandchildren, Eden Marcel of Zion, C. J., Zoe, Dainan (Cynthia Herdt), Christian, Cara, Steven, Thomas and Tajha.
