With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vernell Latting of Kansas City, Missouri, who passed away on February 13, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Westbrook and Daisy Westbrook; her sister Doris Lavern Stoner; her son Steven Michael Latting; and her husband Verl A. Latting.
She is survived by: her children, Charles A. Latting (Sadie), Jeanette Singleton (Charlie), Patricia Willis (Mark) and Tonia Richardson (Dave). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Charter Funerals - Kansas City (5000 Blue Ridge Cutoff, Kansas City, MO 64133). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Memorial Park Cemetery (8251 Hillcrest Rd, Kansas City, MO 64138).
