Ted Duane Murphy Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ted Duane Murphy of Kansas City, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 12, 2025 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Murphy and Fern Murphy; his former wife Mae Murphy; his sister Peggy Bohnenkamp; and his daughter-in-law Fran Niemeyer-Murphy.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Mae Gerke; his children, Pat Murphy, Pam Oberschelp (Jeff), Steve Murphy (Melissa), Vicki Murphy and Mike Murphy; his sister Beverly Miller; his grandchildren, Joe, Annabel, Kristen, Kelly, Sean and Conner; and his great grandchildren, Evelyn and Charli.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church (1800 MO-150, Lee's Summit, MO 64082). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
