He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwood E. Sauer and Fern L. Sauer (Leonard); his stepfather Walter Poeschel; and his grandson Gage Phillips. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Sauer; his children, Dave Sauer, Vicki Phillips (Chris) and Adam Sauer; his grandchildren, Tayler, Miranda, Brendan, Alana and Adam; his great grandchildren, Jordan and Maliah; and his brothers, Charles (Bev) and Rodney Sauer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Briarcliff Church (800 NE Vivion Rd, Kansas City, MO 64118).
