He was predeceased by: his parents, Roosevelt and Ruth; his wife Annette Butts; his son Roy W. Butts Jr.; his great grandchild Keith Lars III; and his siblings, Clarence Butts, Clarice Marshall, Roosevelt Butts Jr., Jay Harvey Butts and Terry Butts.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Isaiah Newton, Sydney Jones, Ericka Harbor, Ciera Morgan, Shannon Butts, Michael Smith (Jessica), Kayla Slider and Jahara Mabion; his siblings, Theresia Jean, Brenda, James and Linda; and his friend Kirk. He is also survived by great grandchildren; nephews; nieces; cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapels - Missouri (1800 Linwood Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64109). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel (1800 Linwood Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64109).
