She was predeceased by: her parents, William H. "Jack" Cook and Beryl Cook (Hand); and her siblings, Eula Mae Browning and James A. Cook. She is survived by: her children, Manuel Tovar Jr. (Pam), Mireya Smith (Kevin), Maria Genaris (Peter), Mark Tovar (Charemon) and Marilu Suholaski (Jon); and her sister Suzanne Hardy. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Hospice House of Kansas City.
